The Computing Hub is here to support you with all aspects of delivering excellence in teaching computing.
We provide teaching and learning resources, guidance for both primary and secondary schools and CPD. We will work with you to identify your computing needs and support you to embed this key subject in your school.
Professional Development
We run both face-to-face and remote courses aimed at both subject knowledge enhancement and pedagogy. Much of the CPD is fully funded however, where there is a fee, there are subsidies which all maintained schools and MATs are entitled to. Please contact the hub if you require bespoke CPD for your school.
Computing Quality Framework
Guidance is provided for schools working towards the computing quality framework (CQF).
CS Accelerator Programme
The Computer Science Accelerator (CSA) is a programme of free, high-quality professional development and support provided to upskill teachers with the subject knowledge to successfully deliver GCSE Computer Science across England.
Physical Computing kits
The computing hub has a variety of physical computing class kits available for schools to borrow. Please contact the hub if you would like to borrow: Crumbles, Micro:bits, Raspberry Pi devices or Raspberry Pi Pico devices.
